Part of the Pride of the Plains collection, Where Life Gathers is centred around one of the simplest truths of our planet:
where there is water, there is life.
The puzzle depicts a busy African watering hole and the ecosystem that forms around it.
Hippo, kudu, waterbuck, Nile crocodile, water monitor, terrapin, Cape clawless otter, vervet monkey and baboon
are joined by the smaller creatures that are so often missed around water.

There is much more happening than first meets the eye.
Hidden throughout the scene are familiar watering-hole birds, insects, reptiles, footprints and other small signs of life.
The species were chosen carefully to reflect the African setting as authentically as possible, including animals that are rarely represented in children’s puzzles at all.
The removable wooden animals can also stand upright on their own, so play does not have to end once the puzzle is complete.

Inside the packaging is an illustrated leaflet that introduces children to the watering hole and the importance of water within an ecosystem. It includes a “Take a closer look” page filled with things to find, followed by facts about the animals, birds and smaller creatures represented in the puzzle.
For younger children, the leaflet naturally invites an adult to read, point things out, ask questions and look through the scene together.
