Bellebosch Farm
Bellebosch Farm is Little Belle’s take on the farm puzzle.
There is no red barn in sight.
Set on a South African Cape farm, the scene draws from familiar local landscapes:
Cape Dutch architecture, mountains and winelands in the distance, farm equipment, water troughs, beehives and working animals.
The removable pieces include distinctly South African breeds such as the
Nguni cow, Dorper sheep and Boerboel, alongside the other animals that make up life on the farm.
There are details tucked throughout the farm. Birds, insects, butterflies, flowers, nests, farm tools, animal feed
and signs of everyday farm life.
Some are obvious; others take a little longer to find.
The beehive even has its own dedicated page,
introducing children to the small but important role bees play
in the world around us.
Beyond the Puzzle
Inside the packaging is an illustrated leaflet that
welcomes children to Bellebosch Farm,
introduces the animals and the roles they play,
includes a “Take a closer look” activity and a
dedicated page about bees.
The removable wooden animals stand upright on their own,
so the farm can continue beyond the puzzle board.
Younger children can move the animals into their own free play while an adult reads from the leaflet, points out details and talks through what is happening on the farm.
